Thread: Windows & locks

Hi I have a 1900 diesel octavia, all of a sudden the drivers door has stopped locking with the fob, & on two mornings I have gone out to find the windows down & all the doors unlocked. Has anyone got any ideas at all because as you can imagine its a little bit unsafe to leave on the road outside at the moment. Also the light in the door trim is on all the time while the ignition is on, (the one that normaly flashes after you lock the car). Cheers Reg

Same happened to our 2003 Fabia Estate.
Think the problem is water getting into the plug on the passenger door - plenty of WD40 type stuff on it should cure.
At the stealers this costs a lot to fix & they 'need' the car for 3 or 4 hours.
Sounds like a nice little earner for them!
What, me cynical?
