Thread: Alarm Problems

Well that was quick. Signed in acouple of minutes ago and cant seem to find much in here.

Couldn't find anything in the forum so here goes my first question

I have a 2005 Octavia II
Recently the alarm has been going off randomly
No sign of any water ingress anywhere and the door open light has started to flash on and off every 20 seconds or so when driving. Im guessing this could be a sticky or failing door sensor somewhere. Also the rear wash wiper does not work when the door pen light is flashing. The rear screen wash jets do not work either.

Any ideas please?
Is it an easy fix or an auto electrician jobbie
Any help greatly appreciated as I cant get a Haynes book of lies for it either

well. If you can get a cheap one or even better borrow one try changing the wiper stalk. see if this cures it.

Is this linked with the alarm issues?

most likley as its causing a drain on the battery. power drain activates alarm
