Thread: Greetings

Hi all

I am half the membership of a two Skoda family. My wife had been the proud owner of a BMW 3 for well over 10 years and it was in need of an update, so after much research she settled for a 1.9 TDI Octavia sedan. Tour De France support vehicles piqued my interest! That was last year.

I have been a Ford and General Motors big engine automatic driver pretty much for the last 20 years. Driving my wifes manual Skoda was such fun and so economical that I treated myself to an 1.9 TDI Octavia wagon. Nothing flash. That was this year.

So far its been good things to report.

The only worry was immediately after the first service on my wifes car, it developed a rubbing noise in the front left wheel when you turned right. Wouldn't do it when we took it back to the dealer service shop, and then it went away and hasn't returned.

I will be seeking your advice on roof racks to take my bike, and possibly a tow bar.
