    Hi and welcome aboard.
I have a 1.4 16v Fabia and the only thing you must check often is the engine oil level as the engine does drink oil which is normal.

I bought an expensive fm transmitter for my ipod and it was rubbish, so i bought a new head unit that had an ipod connection on it aswell as a usb and aux connections.

dont really want to ruin the look of the dash with an after market stereo. 've seen the ipod connectors that into the cd changer input behind the oem system but pretty sure it wont have great support for standard mp3 players. I have a garmin sat nav with sd card that i was using but would like to plug a portable hard drive in. Becoming a bit of a nightmare....
