Hi I have had my Fabia for 4 years now but have run into problems so was wondering if some fellow skoda owners could help me out.

My car Skoda Fabia TDI Y reg 100bhp Elegance with 106.000miles. Just ahd major service.

Over christmas the battery light flashed on when turning. Just a flash. Then one day I started it and my POWER STEERING WOULDNT WORK REVED AND IT CLEARED. Tested battery 12.5 vols great. Tested with engine running at temp Same. reved it and it flickered to 14.5 volts. I checked the belt was not slipping. That was fine. So I bought a new alternator and fitted it Again same thing. Is the new alternator dead or Is their somthing else it could be Thanks for reading
