I have owned a Fabia Silverline 1.4MPi for just under 2 years and, by and large am very happy with the car.

Just one small niggle is getting on my nerves though.

The boot catch is very temperamental and when releasing the catch from inside the car, it is pot-luck as to whether the boot will actually open when I get to the back of the car.

This has become particularly annoying in the recent poor weather as I am often having to make 3-4 trips back to the lever inside the car to get the boot open.

Has anybody else experienced this and is there anything I can do to remedy this niggle ?
