Hi all.

(Above title is of course a hint to Evelyn Waugh and "Brideshead"...)

Point is, that I've just yesterday re-purchaced a Fabia 1,4 Mpi Having owned a 2003-model from 2002-2004, I had NO second thoughts on buying one again, this time with 113.000 km's on the road. So- needless to say- I'm a happy man!

This time, I plan on keeping it, as Fabia to me is "the whole package": "Praktisch, quadratisch -gut" Even though I'm tall, it fits me, and both exterior and cabin have been worked to produce a smart, beautiful and functional unit.

Plan is to make precortions that will keep it working and shining, by-
1) ongoing seal and polish the paint, and
2) make essential replacements or maintenance of key components.

ad 1. I plan to go here SONAX to learn how to do the paint part of keeping away rust, and keep color (black) resistant to enviroment and "deep" shiny.
ad 2. Wires and hoses in the motor compartment may profit from a subtle cleaning og replacement in advance. Also coolant fluid replacement is said to be done at least every second year, to prevent (rust?)particles to get stuck in the inside of the motor etc, etc.....

Hope I will manage to keep up the good spirit, as I really love this little car. And please do'nt hesitate on encouraging me by commenting and advising, plaese...
