    Default New to Skoda

    Hello everyone

I've just bought a not very new Fabia estate, 2001, 1.4. 8 valve 75k miles. It looks great, had some problems due to an incompetent second hand car dealer who couldn't see the obvious when carrying out a service and MOT. I guess the same could apply to any car.

I wanted a small estate to accomodate the junk/rubbish etc and this seemed to fit the bill. I'm very impressed with the driving possition and leg room, I'm not exceptionally tall, almost 6' but often suffer with knees hitting steering wheels, even in big cars, no probs in the Fabia and it doesn't feel claustrophobic. Now the dealer has replaced the broken up thermostat, the car runs fairly well, going to look at the permanently on, rear O/S fog light this morning, fingers crossed.

I'm looking forward to driving the car further and hope there may be some owners club activity over here in the Norfolk treacle mines.
