Thread: Octavia Air Con Problem

Hi, I have a Skoda 2010 Octavia TDI (140) The problem I have is when I turn on the air con it goes into recirculation mode, i.e. the air gets stale as no new air is being drawn into the car. My previous Octavia (2006) did not have this problem. The local dealer checke d my car on the diagnostic gear and no fault was found. My question is, is this normal or should the air con be drawing in fresh air before cooling it? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

you should have the option but im not clued up on new ones

Thanks for the reply, I can't see anyway of stopping this, it's not as if i had pressed the recirclate button by mistake, it just seems a bit odd when the owners manual says not to drive with the air recirculating as it can cause drowsyness etc.
