Skoda octavia oil light
My husband has just told me that he has driven our Skoda Octavia (approx 10 years old now) this week and the oil light has been flashing/beeping. Then it goes out after a while. I've tried to explain to him how serious this is. I know it's likely to be either that the oil pressure has dropped due to a leak or other problem - or else that the light sensor is not working properly. Of course, I hope it's the sensor. There are lots of wierd electrical problems with this car anyway.
Does anyone have any advice for me about this? Besides the oil level, how can I check for oil drop - would there be oil spray about the engine? I know if there is a knocking then the engine is likely knackered.
Any help out there?
Thank you!
