    Default 106 track rod end

anyone got any tips for changing these? i have tried already but it seems to be rusted solid :? also regarding the tracking, is there any way to check your tracking without having to take it into a garage and them using the fancy tool?
    regards

    Chompy,
I take it the end you are having problems with is the attchment to the rack, rather than the joint with the suspension leg?
Is so, then appart from a good soaking with Wd40, then the only way to get it to start moving is with some heat.
As for tracking, is can be done aproximatly with a rod measuring between the front of the inner distances of the wheel, and comparing the measurement with the rear of the front tyres. This is however VERY inaccurate, and it would be best to get it done properly, as any money saved doing it wrong, will be lost by wearing out your tyres.

Gunson make a home tracking kit, its about £70 but if you have a few cars it can soon pay for itself.
