    Default 407 Owners Rollcall

Hi there, I have a 407 in which is my everyday car. Would be good if there are 407 owners here who can share some experiences as owner and what are the issues that you face. How's your experience on the 407 ?

Put your name down if you're an owner :

Not an owner my self, but my Dad has just got a 407 SW Hdi 136 SE.Only done about 500 miles so far,but is very pleased with it.Although he misses the half leather & electric seats that his 406 had.The car that i now own.
He also would like to know why they did away with the gas struts on the bonnet when you open it.Like my 406.
Apart from that, its a great car.

My second 407. First one I had for 3 days, it was less than 12 months old when I bought it and discovered a serious oil leak. Turned out it was a crack in the sump as it had hit something and not been picked up by garage on the pre-inspection! Had to wait 3 weeks while they ordered me a replacement second hand one from Peugeot. Managed to get an identical one, same colour etc, with less mileage and Smartnav.

I have had a 407 SW HDi Exec for nearly a year now, it is a lovely car to drive especially on long journeys.
Only one problem with it and that is it sometimes looses all power (ie it will only idle) have to turn the ignition off and back on then its fine, My local peugeot dealer has tried to fix this a number of times but with no success yet, anyone else had this problem with a 407 please let me know especially if you have managed to get it fixed.
