    Default 406 airbag light

Hi to all & happy new year.
Well, after only having the 406 for 3 mths, the airbag light has come on  .I had this on & off for 5 yrs with my previous Xantia. So before i book it in for the fault code to be read, any one any ideas as to what i could check/do myself?
    Cheers,Neil.

Well thats a lot of help!!!NOT
I often thought about that in my Xantia. Its not to bad in the 406 though as the light says "Air bag" & is quite small & dim.In the Xantia it was large & bright which got on my nerves after a while.
I just knew after 3 yrs with my Dad & no probs,i would get some probs when i got the car.Makes me mad as well as its only 3 mths out of warranty .

could possibly be that a connector has came off one of the airbags :?: best to get it checked out, could be somthing serious then it might effect the airbag if your in a crash, some of these sensors detect more than just airbags though :? peugeots very strange for there warning lights, so this airbag could mean anything  ave just totaly confused myself
