Newbie needs rear seats for 504?
I have just bought a 1979 504 in excellent original condition. I would like to fit the 3rd row of seats. Where can I buy these? Thanks

Welcome,
I assume you have a 504 Break which you want to convert to a Familiale?
I'm not a pro, but this can be really difficult. I heard that it is almost impossible because the floor of the Break is higher than that of a familiale. So you should remove the floor and welt in a new one.
Specilists, please correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm suprised! Would Peugeot really make a different chassis?

The chassis might be the same, but the floor in the familiale is lower to have space for your legs while the Break floor is flat higher to make loading and unloading easier. When you drop down the rears seats in a familiale they fall into the legspace, making the floor flat like in a Break.
But again, I'm not 100% sure. You might want to compare them before you start working. If you know a familiale in your neighbourhood of course.

Thanks for your replies Brownie. I'm going to have a good look around it today and post some pictures later...
