Thread: Heater Problem

I recently bought a 405 turbo diesel (L reg) and although its a great car my heater always blows cold air no matter how long the engine has been running.im thinking a fuse might have blown but dont know which one.I would be greatful for any feedback

this is likely to be caused by an air block in the coolign system and must be dealt with imdietly, somewhere on one of the pipes there will be a screw that looks like a valve cap, you need to fill up your radiator with that open...start the car and when water starts pouring out that replace it and check the level of your radiator again.

Thanks for the advise,i found the valve undid it and the hole was completely full of crap,as was the hose it connected to.i cleaned the hose out did what you said water flowed out of the valve hole,put valve screw back in fill rad up went for a spin and guess what,yep me heaters blew hot air and into the bargain my engine now runs at 80-90 degrees insted of 110.cheers mate i owe you a beer

Hi I've got a 94 405 GTX 2.0, I've got the same problem cold air all the time, this valve cap you mention is it just below the air filter? I did unscrew it a little and water was coming out, any advice will be welcome.
