Hello everyone - I bought a Peugeot 307S 1.6 2004 Automatic a few days ago and have just joined this Forum.

This car has the Porsche Tiptronic 4 speed gearbox whith which I am totally unfamiliar - and the user manual doesn't help much!

The concept of a manual option without a clutch seems very strange to me. When decelerating for example,I presume thst the driver has to move from 'Plus' to 'Minus'in step with the reduction in speed and when braking to a stop the lever is put into the lowest 'Minus' point?

Any information that members can provide me with will be much appreciated - e.g when is it best to use the Tiptronic facility?
