Thread: Parts scarce for 406 ?

My garage repair has been waiting for a seat-cover for a 406 estate (the bit that covers the upright part of the seat) for months now. It is the part that covers the upright part of the seat behind the driver's back (Astrokhan Grey).

The car is only just over 3 years old, but apparently this part cannot be found in the UK, so it is on "back-order" from France. Are 406 parts not generally available? I am surprised about this!

have you tried contyacting a local "coach trimmers"? they may be able to assist in re covering the seat part. Seat cloth can sometimes be a time consuming itme if ordered via a dealer. failing that, have you tried a breakers, and get another complete seat assembly? you may pay as much for a trim as you will for a whole seat. try someone like "findapart", worth a try!
