Thread: 206 tapping

Guys ... can anyone help. I have a 51 plate 206 and there is a definate tapping sound when the engine is running. It sounds just like tappets but it is not because if i rev the engine the noise doesn't get faster.

sometimes when the engine is on tick over the tapping stops for a few seconds then starts again.

Anyone got any suggestions??

An elektronic actuator,maybe for the coal canister..

this is the sound of the canister purge valve and it is perfectly normal
