Thread: 306 d turbo lucas pump question!

Can anyone please tell me what the little micro switch on top of the lucas turbo injection pump throttle assembly does. Its the one at the very top of the pump which opens and closes as the throttle is pressed and depressed. Its a little black box with a small plug like switch which looks like a variable switch not a simple on and off and it has a wire running to somewhere on the front of the pump. Thanks very much if you can shed any light!

Do you mean the trottle position sensor assembly (TPS) ?
