Default Central locking problem on 1999 'T' 406 LX 2.0 petrol

I have a problem with the central locking on my 1999 'T' 406 LX 2.0 petrol.
When I press the remote button to lock the car the locks engage and then immediately unlock again. The boot can be locked independently and stay locked, yet if I try and lock all the doors separately they all unlock themselves within seconds.
I have tried the first obvious thing of inserting a new battery and then spraying WD40 around the fusebox and locks of all the doors just in case a bit of damp had intruded.
None of this has worked so I am left with a car that cannot be locked.

Can anyone help me try and solve this problem?

    Default Me Too!

I have the same problem too!
I don't know... Usually i keep trying to lock it, open and close my doors or just wait awhile... hasn't done it this month...
try spraying CRC or oil in near the locks... I know I will next time...

There is a little senser for the boot lock on my 206 on the boot slam plate.
When this came loose i had the same problem.
try looking around the boot lock to see if a conector has come loose or is miss aligned..
