Thread: Accelerator pedal dropped and over revving 205

hiya would anyone be kind enough to give me so ideas

i have a 1988 peugeot 205 automatic

started car other day and noticed my accelerator pedal was lower than usual , when engine started the car immediately was revving like i was going about 60 mph with the pedal still depressed all on its own

any help would be appreciated

You probably have a stuck accelerator cable. Open your bonnet and check where you able connects to the throttle body.
