Thread: 1993 Peugeot 405 GTX - Engine quits running

Engine quits running at low rpm. Sometimes the engine wouldn't start at all, and even backfires when trying on starting it. However, it sometimes starts by e.g. pulling the car down a hillside. It will then run perfectly for a couple of days, before the problem appears. Any opinions?

What's the engines temperature when this occurs? Checked primary current to coil? False air leaks? Idle control? Backfires occur due to ignition or fuel/air mix to lean,so somwhere there is your problem related to,but more info is necessary.
