Thread: 206 Idle Problem

anyone come across this before I have a 206 1100cc year 2002 sometimes the car will Idle no problem & the next time it idles at 2500 - 3500 Rpm any Ideas on what could be doing this

Possibly idle control valve,false air leaks or periodic sensor fault.

try cleaning the stepper motor. this unit tends to fail over 100,000 km. if the problem is not solved, u need to replace it. remove the ECM connector when you clean it, or remove the battery positive cable otherwise u will have a permanently high idle
