Default Hand break light: NEED HELP!!

Hello, my Seat Marbella [1991] was recently welded, quite unprofessionally as soon afterwards the dynamo and the direction indicator lights broke.

After these were fixed, the red light [hand brake indicator] started flickering -- it wouldn't go on when I activated the brake, and would stay on for a while after starting the car again, slowly fading away and dying woithing 5 minutes. This has been going on for a week.

This morning however, the light stayed on for the entire duration of the 15-minute drive, and it didn't fade at all.

Should I be worried? What could be the possible causes???

    Thanks in advance!

    P.

    Hi,

Try to pull up hand brake and try to move slowly, if car stays and don't move so hand brake works fine. Release hand brake and try to move, if you don't feel that hand brake is braking car a little bit so it's not good, you need to check rear brakes. If car moves fines after releasing hand brake so don't worry about that hand brake light.
