Thread: central locking locks and opens on it,s own

I have a 1996 Toledo 1.8 SXE , which has started to do as it wants i.e opening and closeing ,and when it really wantso annoy me will open the back window. All this appears to happen in wet weather. Can anybody help me.

sounds like you have a bad earth check the wires the come out of the hole in the wing and into the door, good place to start for niped wires

Might be that you have an air leak somewhere in the central locking, but yeah it does sound like you have an earth problem, have a look see if any of the door run-offs are blocked and if any of the cables are sitting in water?
