My family own a 1996 ibiza salsa 1400. We have owned it for about a year it has been running fine till one day it lacked power and became hot around the cat area and the exhaust with my wife leaving it at the side of the road because it smelt like burning, went to after it cooled ran a treat, only seemes to happen on a long run , new exhaust fitted a year ago, not blocked ,water temp slow to but reaches half way and the fan comes in and passed the m.o.t. with this problem .please any one got some idea.
