Thread: Hello, Problem on our Leon

Hello and Good Morning,

We have an 02 Registered Seat Leon 1.8 Petrol Sports

We have had the car for 2 years, during the last couple of months the leon has had 3 new coils fitted,

A Exaust

A Alternator

A full Service

The car passed its MOT 2 Weeks ago whith flying colors.

More recently the cars randomly cuts out, some times at trafic lights, sometimes when driving the car misses, a bleep is heard and the orange light comes on the dashboard. If you stop the car, handbrake, nutral, restart the car it is fine, sometimes the orange light stays on for an hour or so then goes out, we mentioned this at the mot, the garage said the car had recorded no faults.

The car starts on the button, and is very quiet when running, when not playing up is a lovely motor and ticks over sweet.

Any help appreciated

it could be the maf (mass air flow sensor) or the icv (idle control valve)
