Are you unable to obtain access ?
Are the indicators flashing at all when using fob ?
if its an 08 get recovery out on it, if you can not get access.
if indicators are not flashing you could attact a batery charger to the alternator although this is not easier on a tdi.

yes indicators flash and all other doors and boot lock work as normal. its just the drivers door which wont open from the inside, or from the outside with the key or with remote.can i call recovery for that?

In short yes. If they can not fix it, they should transport it, to the dealer ship, to be fixed under warrenty. They may think your being funny about it. But at the end of the day, Its an mot failure. Their for unsafe to drive, as if you had to get out or be got out, of the vehicle quickly it could cost you your life.

I fellow car forum aqauntance, 2 weeks ago, today, burned to death. After an accident because he couldnt get out of the car, As accident damage had disabled it.
