Default Skoda Fabia '04: wet interior

I own an '04 Fabia and every day during the winter when I have got into my car the inside of the front windscreen has been soaking wet. I have to keep a sponge and a towel in my car and spend several minutes drying the windscreen before I can set off but my wife's Cleo which is parked alongside my car is absolutely fine (as was my previous car).
Does anybody have similar problems and know how I can sort this out as it is putting a slight downer on a very good car!

A common problem we have, every night close all your vents and turn the dial which to feet warming and that should help.

hi if you keep the sponge and towl in car the moisture from these goes back to the windows. so once wiped remove them from car and dry. following the above will help to. our fabia does the same think its a design fault. I shall try the closing vents ect to see if it helps. My fiesta does it but it leaks like a sive when it rains lol and get no use. Also on nice day run an ext lead to car and carefully position a little portable heater in the car and leave on. be shaw it will not over heat or fall over due to fire risk and be sure to turn it of and close car up by 3pm. this should get help dry the car out properly

Thanks for the ideas johnp and TDI, I have removed cloths, closed vents and selected feet warming. I'll keep you updated!

I went out to my car yesterday morning to find a large amount of frost covering the inside window. I checked my vent settings and they were closed although the setting was at half feet half dashboard, I also checked and found there were no damp towels left anywhere in the car.

There was very little ice on the outside of the front windscreen so I am really at a loss as to what could be causing this!

    Help please.

    hi
if this is persisting regardless of the efforts you have already made then water must be making its way into the car and there may be one thing you can look for, on some models there is a pollen filter located on the right side of car under the scuttle panel--right side as you stand at front of car looking at windscreen and the scuttle panel is the plastic vented panel that runs under the windsreen and around the wipers, at either end of the scuttle panel there are drains that let rainwater run from that point and away though the front wings, if they become blocked with dirt and leaves the water will fill the panel and some will leak into the pollen filter and into the car, you will not always feel water but if you reach into the passenger footwell ,up behind the dashboard and attached to the firewall you can locate and examine the filter which may give you some indication if water is coming in there
    good luck

I've just bought a fabia and it too is damp. I have read about a common problem with the doors needing to be resealed.

In this cold weather it is easy to identify because when I opened my rear door and looked at the bottom it's got a layer of ice on it!

Good luck, let us know if you find your leak(s)...

Thanks jaybee, I looked either side of the scuttle panel and saw there was a couple of leaves and other debris down the sides of the car. My next question is how do I clear them out? The gap I can see them down isn't wide enough to put my hand down and they are about a foot or so down so reaching in with anything to pull them out would be difficult.
