Default Skoda Fabia: rear windsreen washer problem

my rear windscreen washer seems to have stopped working on my fabia 1.2 2005(estate).

just wondering if anyone has any ideas front ones work fine but the rear doesnt, i can hear the pump working and some will leak from the front ones if you keep the leaver engaged. i would assume this is just from the biuld up of pressure in the system and therefore points towards a blockage. any ideas as to a way of checking this.

only had the car two weeks and its had to put up with all the bad weather which maybe the problem

You could have a split water hose on the rear somewhere and if you haven't got screen wash in your mixture it could have frozen with the extreme cold weather we have had recently.

I would be very suprised if it didn't freaze although it did have screen wash in (undiluted mix) and again is full of that would have thoughtthat the squrter itself may have frozen.

Just wondering if anyone has found an easy way to test or fix the pipe

    Default rear windscreen washer

My Skoda Fabia VRS has just had a problem with the rear windscreen washer, found out mine wasnt working about 2 weeks ago, took it into Skoda and they told me the pipe had broken/perished, I was told a new pipe needed to be fitted!! Took the car in earlier this week and they've actually repaired the original pipe so didnt cost me as much after all.

Hi I also Have a VRS and my back window wash has stopped working, it makes the noise like water is going to come out but it does not it does not as far as I can see leak water onto the floor , I have removed the jet and its clean, I have also blown down the connetion and I can hear the water bubbling in the bottle, I took it to a garage who told me it would be an all day job as it sounded like the spinning valve had broken and that it would be a whole new pump!! Does anyone know if this is feasible or am I just being treated like I dont know anything being a girl ( I must say that the guy in the garage said to me that I should let my husband bring his own car in )

Sure I read somewhere that there's a connector in the rear washer pipe that' SUPPOSED to ' break ' when system iced up - to do with avoiding the pump burning out. When the big thaw comes, the water goes all over your carpets.
Or did I really imagine that?

I had a rear washer fault on the Fabia VRS recently, Traced to a pipe detatched from a connector under the bonnet, up against the bulkhead. A bit tricky to see, and very difficult to reach, but with someone else to operate the switch, the leak was easily visible. I expect it froze up and came off, but it went back on OK and has been alright since.

Mine has "broke" a few times. Its located against the firewall just off-center on the near-side. It's a quick 1 minute fix.

Correct. In front of the firewall you will find the connection for the rear hose running to the rear washer. This sometimes pops off. Its just a matter of re-connecting the hose. My did this and I was jumping to all sorts of conclusions.
