Thread: Advice needed before Vrs purchase

I'm wondering if someone can help please. I've always wanted a Fabia VRS and have been to look at one today. I took a friend with me, who is a mechanic. He looked the car over and said the only thing that he could see that maybe cause for concern was that when looking at the oil cap, he could see 'excess blow-by'. I'm not sure what this is, and it looked fine too me; just looked like a bit of oil around the oil cap, which I thought was normal! Is anyone familiar with the 1.9TDI engine and is familiar with this 'problem'. Other than that it looks great. 5 years old, 49k miles, £5,900. Full service history. Any help would be great, as I need to snap this car up if this 'fault' is ok.
