    Don't know about fragile parts.

Aircon filter is above passenger footwell, rectangular cover with two clips that slide towards the centre before the cover and filter can be pulled down.

Hi. I just finished changing front brake pads on my 1,4 2001 Combi.

I must admit, that mingeling with car brakes for the first time, and the possible consequences of NOT assembling then properly had me sweating before start. But trust me- it's really easy, much easier than changing a bike tube!

I studied "Haynes", but got a bit of advice from a professional(mostly "don't worry").

No special tools nedded, just 1) a jack, 2) an Allen/Hex key to desmantle the 2 caliber retaining bolts, and 3) a Tongue and Groove Plier to push back the hydraulid piston if needed. You can NOT break ANYTHING... ;o)

Only concern is to ensure, that
    -pads are corectly positioned
    -bolts are properly fastened
-test: move caliper from side-to-side to ensure, that caliper moves freely sideways along the bolts(5-10 mm.)

If i remember correctly the Fabias have wind-back rear brake calipers, which means you probably won't be able to push them back very far. If you can't push them back far enough to move past the disc lip, try and turn the caliper piston with a screwdriver, levering against the gap edge on the caliper. Once the caliper is off the piston will need to be wound back the whole way.If all else fails, we have the correct equipment. We can't loan it out but if you need to bring the car down we can sort it.
