Hi,

Any help would be appreciated.

My handbrake is pulling up very high before the car is secure. how easy is it to tighten it?

Very easy! I just fixed mine. You just have to remove the centerconsole, jack up the car and tighten a screw connected to a wire on the back of the handbreake. Pull the handbreake up so you hear just one click and start tightening the screw. Both back tires must be lifted from the ground. It's ok to have a buddy spinning the tires while you tighten the screw. When your buddy feels that the tires won't spinn freely enymore, you can stop tightening the screw. When the handbreake is completly up you should hear 4-5 clicks.
