Thread: Delivery Time?

we ordered a Fabia 2 in early Sept with minor extras (sundim glass, mats and body protector strips) and were advised that the car should be built first week in Nov.
We've heard nothing lately so i emailed the dealer only to be told that and i quote "the computer systems for all skoda is down till monday,
as soon as they are back online i'll get you an update". Are things really that bad at Skoda, or am I being messed about?
Ten weeks and counting from order and deposit seems a long time for a relatively unsophisticated vehicle.
BTW the bad English between the quotes is not mine.

I ordered an Octavia S, 1.6 Diesel on the 28th November, and the dealer is being vague already...

"Sometime February" is his most specific answer!!

Does anyone have recent experience or any way we can check delivery times online etc?

we picked our fabia up on 4 Dec, that's 13 weeks from order. when i commented that it seemed an awful long time he just said that it's 6 months for an Audi............

for that, at least gives me an idea!! probably March!

I will let everyone know, and at least we can give and get an idea of how long we all have to wait.

Well, took delivery on 13th Feb, could have had it on about the 10th.... so 10-11 weeks, pretty good I think,

just wish they could have been a bit more certain...

and so far so good

When we ordered our Fabia we had to wait 9 weeks for ours, which wasn't too bad as it gave me 9 more weeks to save more cash for it.
