Thread: Skoda Octavia Cruise Control

I have a 2005 Skoda Octavia 1.9TDI. Im having probems with the cruise control. Initially it would intermittently switch itself off. Sometimes it would reset itself by switching it off and on again and sometimes it wouldn't. Now it does not work at all. My dealer has said that it would probably need a new stalk. However, I have heard that the fault could be caused by a dirty switch. I have also heard that cleaning it only takes 10 to 15 minutes. Anyone out there how to remove the switch for cleaning or if this indeed can cure the problem.
