Default skoda roomster 2008 1.4 diesel misfire

2 weeks ago took my 2008 roomster into the hull dealership with a misfire and aircon fault, they quickly found the aircon fault, diagnosed a split pipe, so they ordered a new pipe. They said they could feel the misfire, but no faults showed up on computer, so they were going to speak to skoda Uk.
When it went back in they did the aircon pipe, had another look, and skoda advised them it need a new turbo ! all this on a car with only 13000 miles.
They had it all day yesterday, fitted a new turbo, which cost skoda uk over £1000, guess what its still misfiring, so in my book there was nothing wrong with the old turbo, the misfire gets worse the warmer the engine is, it wont rev cleanly over 2800 revs, has anyone else had a simalar problem ?
They are taking it again on friday, and I've told them not to bring it back until its right,
Years ago before all these fancy computers appeared on cars, if a diesel wasnt running properly, you'd spend a tenner on a new fuel filter and 9 times out of ten it would cure the problem, either that or you'd have a faulty injector.
In my oppinion the new generation of cars are too complicated, and the average man in the street has no chance of fixing a problem

theyve finally got to the bottom of the problem, it turned out to be a leaking seal on the fuel injector pump, so we get it back tommorow, its only been in 3 times ! and they've had it for the last 6 days, at least we've had a loan car
