Thread: New Superb foglights - why do they come on with reverse gear??!!!

Does anyone know why on earth the front fog lights come on when you select reverse gear (obviously with the main lights on)? I am not sure if this is only for the Elegence model with cornering function and adaptive front headlights etc. With the lights switched to either 'On' or 'Auto' the fog light inside a corner, or in the direction of a selected indicator turns on. I can understand that and this does add extra light towards the direction of travel - but what I don't understand is why when you select reverse BOTH front fog lights come on!! My intention is to go backwards not forwards!! Does anyone know if or how this can be turned off as I can't find anything about this in the manual.

its an aid for seeing how much front corner clearence you have monouvering the only way to disconnect is to disconnect the reversing lights
