Thread: Erratic Water Temperature Gauge

I was wondering whether anyone could help me with a problem on my Fabia instrument display.

The water temperature pointer hardly ever moves, most of the time on any journey it will just sit at zero.

Sometimes it will go to the normal midpoint, but then erratically fall quickly back to zero.

Does anyone know what the problem could be?

You need a new sender unit I had to do ours late last year is a y reg to lol. what engine ? their less than £20

Ours is Tdi If its the same its on the right hand side of block when looking at car and tucked down the back. Its the same part I beleive. Well looks the same as a diesel sender unit which is on the top, right hand side of block (well just in front).
