    Default removing alternator

hi, I'm looking for anyone who has successfully refitted the alternator in an octavia 1.8.

I've followed the haynes manual and removed the 2 mounting bolts, disconnected the electrical wires, but it refuses to budge. Is there a hidden bolt, perhaps?

No ideas beyond WD40 and hammer at the moment.

    Cheers

    Belt removed, along with tensioner.

On this alternator, as you look at the pulley head on (ie standing on driver-side of car) there are 2 bolts to the left of the pulley, 1 above and 1 below.

This a petrol 1.8, but out of interest, where is the 3rd bolt on TDI model?
