Manually lock the boot/ central locking problem.
Hello all,
I purchased my first Fabia at auction last night.
It's a 52 plate 1.4 16v Elegance.
Whilst mechanically it seems very sound and runs like a dream, however the only problem and one I couldn't check in the auction was the central locking.
The central locking is not working, either from the key fob or using the buttons on the door panel. I've checked the fuse and this seems to be ok. number 31 right ?
Anyway my big problem is the boot wont lock, it will close no problem. all the door locks are manually pushed down and the drivers door is locked with the key, but if I go to open the boot using the button/pad under the reg plate recess, the boot just pops open. Not great for security.
Can I manually lock the boot, until I can get the central locking fixed ? I can't find anywhere to put the key, but I could be having a bad day.
Thanks in advance

Their is no key hole.
simplist thing I can think of is to try and dismantle the boot lock in locked position. To be honest is you know a cheap eletrician and ask them to scan faults in might highlight it other wise Id be looking towards relay or module (module loads of money)

Problem solved.
After checking the fuse diagram again I noticed there are two fuses for central locking, one for the tailgate (31) and the main locking (49).
I have removed fuse 31, and no the boot is now locked.
It seems my central locking problem is a dodgy relay.
fiddling with fuse 49 creates a tick tick tick dodgy relay sound.
