Thread: Skoda octavie 04 wont start

it wont start it turn over fine bat is fine but it just wont start checked all fusses these are fine. has a full tank. and the oil level is fine. However when trying to start i get an beebing tone the asr light stays on and i cant turn it of with the switch the switch also lights up does not go out. The oil light comes on and flashes same time as the beeps. I read in the manual that that means an oil sensor issue but would that stop it starting it is -2.5 in temp that should not matter tho

I had same problem on my Octavia tour 2005. First one garage said that is alternator, second said that is problem with oil pump. I had same sympthoms as you have. Last garage took my car and repaired this in few minutes...I asked what was, explained that I visited half dozen of garages...He answered just "I can't tell what was, because this is kind a new bug on this engines, the all suspect on oil pump or alternator,but it is something with air injection during starting engine, but I can't say no more"

I know that I didn't help much, but maybe this info can be a tip to guys that maybe know more on engines...
