Default How to remove protective strip ?

I have a Skoda Octavia vRS, the other day some....ahem....nasty person decided to scrage the bumper of their car down the side of my Skoda while it was parked up
The mark runs from the the rear offside wheel arch across both doors and finishes at the front wheel arch, luckily it doesnt actually go down to bare metal so I should be able, with the Mar scratch kit I've got, to repair it.
Problem is I haven't got a clue how to remove the protective plastic strip that runs horizontaly along the 2 doors.
The question is therefore what is the correct way to remove the plastic protective strip on the doors ?

Thanks in advance for the help !

lol no probs the door cards are the panels that are attached to the door. tou will require paitants scinny as posible srew driver and funny star shapped screw driver tip 4mm i think. I DID AN ELETRIC WINDOW CABLE ONCE AND HAD TWO SCREWS LEFT So take careful note. the screws are well hidden and doing it yourself will prob lead to very minor damage to plastics. their will be little pop out panels. think one fixing screww is under the contlo switches. good luck

it might be worth trying to slid them off. from out side with doors open. As Clio ones come of like this. not ideal as somtimes this leads to bad refitting.

Cant remeber. if it has an insert strip you could try removing that and you might find screws or rivets behind it.

Thanks for the help TDI 100.
In the end though I didn't need to remove the strips. The kit I bought to repair the damage could do it without their removal.
I purchased the Mer stone and chip removal kit, using that and some white spirit and some touch up paint I managed to remove virtually all the damage, the deeper scratched areas I will finish tomorrow as I want to let the base paint set for 24 hours before finishing the area off.
I only wish I hadnt deleted the picture on my phone of the original damage as you would not now believe the results I got with this kit, It's unbelievable !
From the write ups I saw and the DVD that came with the kit it suggested I follow the instructions exactly and spend a little time doing it properly to get best results and boy they weren't kidding.
Anyone who has similar damage I recommend that you try this kit as it really does work, it can be purchased on ebay for around £25 and the only extras you need are a drill, some soft cotton cloths and some white spirit - that's it and a fraction of the cost of having it done professionaly.

hope it comes out well. I washerd my car today found a 7inch scrub mark beteewn front and rear door and the plastic protector has been scrapped all along passenger side rear door. Cleaner I use removed it nicly from door just minor paint. side strip will need more work.

I not suprised people cant drive. I had a go at a driveing instructor today.
he had the learner driving down 50mph dual carriage way at 45 in lane two Half a mile I sat behind it. I then saw Red
I pulled up inside and tooted horn and yelled. "What lane you in", reply "outside" Its lane two you twat, Ie overtakeing lane" "Mate I get a new instructor, his crap" before speeding of on my merry way.
