Thread: new fabia central locking

Can the new fabia 1 with central locking be upgraded to remote locking by using a vw 3 button remote fob unit.The three button fob in the handbook looks just like the standard vw model.A simmilar skoda upgrade costs £95

I'm hoping the answer is yes - the '57 level 1 demonstrator i drove before i got mine had a remote keyfob and i'm guessing they wouldn't have spent a lot "upgrading" it. However it would be nice to hear a definitive statement from someone else.
I also have a Galaxy (i.e VW based) which is easy enough to tune in new keys by a combination of turning keys in ignition etc.
