Hello,

Late last year I purchased a 2005 Octavia 1.6 FSI from a main dealer complete with a 1 year warranty. It's done less than 22000 miles but recently I've suffered a spate of problems which are not covered by the warranty.

It began with white smoke which was traced to faulty ignition coils, three of which were replaced under warranty. A little over week later the engine warning light came on - this was traced to a broken wire at the brake boost pressure sensor which was fixed (but not under warranty). Lastly, two weeks later the warning light came on again and this was traced to the catalyst which had to be replaced (not under warranty).

Skoda have been less than helpful or forthcoming so I wondered if anyone else had experienced similar problems, or if anyone with technical expertise could say if the catalyst could have been damaged by the faulty ignition coils?

Hope you can help.
