Has anyone got any idea where in the UK I can get some reasonably priced shock absorbers and front disks for my Octavia Combi 1.9TDi (110bhp) 2000?

I'll be in the UK in a few month's time.

The price they want for them here in France is staggering - €350 for the front disks (fitted) - I only paid $400 (including carriage and import duty) for high performance slotted disks and Bosch pads all round for my 180mph Corvette - I had to sit down when I was asked this much for a simple job on a family car.

The price for the shocks was, well, shocking. €700 for the four.

I had to have a sit down.

All help and advice appreciated.
