Thread: Turbo issue?

Hello, I have recently decided to buy a Skoda Octavia 1.9 TDi elegance estate from a friend of the family. It has 121000 miles on it and is 01 reg. It doesnt really have any problems, however the owner has said that there is an oil leak which he has found coming from the turbo down to the intercooler. Ive come here to ask whether this is a big problem? And also would the turbo need replacing any time soon?

In regard to leak I dont know lol. But in regard to turbo's The only one I've none to fail was at 38 000 miles. Un messed with and regular oil changes seems to keep them happy my neighbours has done over 230 000 miles
