    Default What type of oil to use

    hello everyone agin I have a octavia pd 140 tdi, just wanting to know does anyone know what oil to use when servicing it. Thanks hope someone can help me.

    Hi, I use the same synthetic oil which the Skoda dealer gave me as a top up when I purchased the car from new. The oil that I use is: Comma Fully Synthetic 5w-30. Hope this helps. Regards. Neil.

    Depends a little bit on where do you live and how low the temperatures go outside. If not under -5C then is better 10-40w

    I drive my Octavia for 10 years now and always has been using SHELL DIESEL 10-40 passed over 200 000 km. Always changing it after 13 000km,the oil level is always at the top after 13 000km so it doesn't consume a single droop of oil.
