    Default temperature light

    when i start the car up from cold in the morning the temperature light comes on.if i leave it running for 5 mins switch off and restart it it goes out.i have replaced the temp sensor .still not cured it.has anyone else had this problem or have you any other ideas.there are no leaks or overheating problems

    It could be a dodgy connector, take the car to Skoda for a check up.

    i have found the problem.it was the sensor in the expansion tank.you have to change the tank.i checked this by disconecting the plug and join the contacts with a piece of wire ,then start the engine to see if the temp light goes out.i was not willing to pay skoda £80 an hour ,the tank cost me £15 from the scrap yard .vw polo,s are the same.
