Thread: Braking problems

I have problems with my octavia, when i start braking the steering wheel starts to wibrate and all the car. Have someone idea what is wrong? my mechanist have no idea, (the brake discs and tyres are new)

check the discs the vibration you describe is caused by warped discs.

Yep I agree this does sound like warped discs. several years ago when I owned an Astra the same thing happened when braking.

Three brand new sets of discs from the main dealer later, none of which lasted for much more than 3000/4000 miles per set and the same thing was still happening.

I went to a different garage from the main dealer and they fitted their suppliers discs to the car, needless to say we had no more problems after that. Regards. Neil.
