    Default 500rstroker

    hi fellow owners , can anyone help me with a problem? i have 2002 octavia with 55000 miles on it rcently the temp gauge has started to drop from its normal warmed up position ( vertical ) wavering about as if its sensing cold , but it never goes above the vertical position ,is it an air lock or temp sensor
    perhaps ? any help would be appreciated .

    Hi 500rstroker...sorry this is so late but I've only just joined the forum. The problem you describe is very common on VW group cars of this age and is nearly always caused by a failed engine coolant temperature sensor. Easy to replace and about £28.00. The later green coloured components seem to be more durable. Kind regards, Big Kev.
